As part of our Grade 5 science program, students explored the fascinating process of photosynthesis — how plants make their own food using sunlight!
Using a simple experiment with a leaf, dish soap, baking soda, and sunlight, students observed how plants absorb light and release oxygen. This hands-on activity brought textbook science to life and helped students see biology in action.
🔍 What We Learned:
- 🌞 Sunlight powers photosynthesis
- 💧🌬️ Carbon dioxide and water are used to make food
- 🌬️ Oxygen is released as a byproduct
This activity was not only educational — it was fun and full of discovery! It sparked curiosity about the natural world and encouraged students to think critically about how living things interact with their environment.
Experiencing science firsthand helps students build a deeper understanding of the processes that shape life on Earth.
Stay tuned for more exciting experiments and discoveries from our science lab!
